Be sure to check out the latest blog post for important details about the next episode. The gist of it is that I'm still writing, but someone new is drawing. No more stick-men.

Yeah, so until the next episode starts on Thursday, I figured I'd post some of the early drawings I did of the characters.

The first batch up there (the ones in pen) I did before I made the Dr. Robot episode; those are two of the first drawings that e'er I made of Plasma-Man. There's also an early Dr. Robot, The Exclamatory Man, who would become the Prestidigitator, Crustaceo, the Raccoon, and Plasma-Man's alter ego, here named Harvey Plasmus. He actually looks more like Hank Cooper, oddly enough. Also there's Jeffry. I don't... I don't really know what his role in the story was supposed to be.

Anyway, the second group (the ones in pencil, drawn on the back of a map) I drew while Vanishing Act was still coming out. Left to right, they're Nikolai Vankof (I guess his eye patch changed sides), The Chessmaster, a chess themed villain who I was originally planning to use at some point (I might still use him eventually, but he's a little bit too much like the Prestidigitator I think), Punchgirl (who it seems has yet to acquire her boxing gloves), Mr. Smith (an assassin who was planned to fill Crison's role in the Vankof episode before I came up with Crison), the original design of Professor Lazarus (he was originally a very theatrical sorcerer type guy, sort of like Doctor Orpheus from the Venture Brothers. Some time after this I decided to redo him), Ace Tanager, who hasn't really changed at all, an evil scientist named Julius Richter, who was originally planned to at some point team up with Fake Plasma-Man, an evil Plasma-Man impostor. Then there's Blizzard and Shadow Queen, who I'm still planning to use.

Yeah, Crustaceo. Remember Crustaceo? He was in episode two. He's a pretty cool guy, that Crustaceo.

Wow. While I am a bit sad to know that you aren't drawing it anymore, I am excited to see the new style. As always, I love this comic and am happy to see that you are always actively improving it.

Yeah, I'm really excited for the new style as well. She's only doing it for one episode, though.

Crustaceo is simply the best there is.

Is the chessmaster the same as Professor Lazarus?

No. Though they do both have bowler hats, eh?
